FQS is a peer-reviewed multilingual online journal for qualitative research established in 1999. FQS thematic issues are published tri-annually. In addition, selected individual contributions and contributions to the journal’s regular features FQS Reviews, FQS Debates, FQS Conferences and FQS Interviews are published as soon as they have undergone peer review. It is an open-access journal.
It is a refereed on-line journal of action research. The journal consists of an electronic discussion list to which papers can be submitted for comment, and a further list which carries the papers on acceptance. You may submit papers, or you may join the journal as a subscriber.
DA On-Line is a brand new, international, interactive on-line journal dedicated to the publication of discourse analysis research. DA On-Line uses interactive, internet-based media to provide an innovative forum for the presentation of discourse analysis research, to foster on-line collaboration and dialogue within the DA community and to redesign the conventional journal review process. We invite submissions from all discourse researchers in the social sciences, cultural studies or humanities. We would particularly like to see discussions of the practical applications of discourse studies.
Founded January 28th, 2010, the Socjournal is a new media journal intended to offer sociologists a window into the world of new media communications. Recognizing that traditional scholarly publication in traditional scholarly journals is limited, slow, and isolated (i.e. sociological research remains hidden behind an academic wall that is impenetrable to most people), the Socjournal aims to bring sociology to the world by providing blog space, regular columns, and academic reports designed to popularize and disseminate the fascinating world of sociological research.
The International Journal of Qualitative Methods (ISSN: 16094069) is a peer reviewed journal published quarterly as a web-based journal by the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology at the University of Alberta, Canada, and its international affiliates. Our goals are to advance the development of qualitative methods, and to disseminate methodological knowledge to the broadest possible community of academics, students, and professionals who undertake qualitative research. By keeping the journal free of charge, we hope to reach an audience who, for whatever reason, do not read traditional, subscription -based journals.
The Ontario Action Researcher is a freely accessible, full-text, peer-reviewed electronic journal intended for elementary, secondary, and university teachers who are concerned with exploring the unity between educational research and practice. While our primary aim is to serve the needs of educators in Ontario, we welcome readership and submissions from elsewhere in Canada and the world.
Poroi (2151-2957) is sponsored by the Project on Rhetoric of Inquiry. Scholarly articles in Poroi emphasize rhetorical analysis and invention in all fields of learning, and they address interdisciplinary audiences. Poroi is published semiannually. As an electronic journal, Poroi is more flexible than paper journals about its lengths, forms, and publication schedules. It appears several times a year, as submissions warrant, and it publishes single articles as well as special symposia or issues catalyzed by guest editors. Authors retain copyrights, releasing their works for publication in the journal. There are no fees for submission or subscription.
